Canadians Considered "international" In Residency Selection?

Recommended Posts

From a technical standpoint you are an AMG an american medical graduate. Visa issues are a bit of a hassle, but if a program wants someone, a visa is not an issue. If it really came down to it and visa was the only issue, they will take the US citizen but it is very unlikely to mean the difference between a match vs non-match. What you really provide them with reassurance by being an AMG is that you were trained in the US system so they are more confident you will fit with the program and know what you are doing.
