How Are Pas Paid

Hi everyone, 

 

I just wanted some clarification on how PAs are paid. I know that they're funded through the government and are fee for service. 

 

How does it impact a physician when the physician isn't there during the time of diagnosis, treatment etc? Are physicians unable to bill for this work?
