Academy Structure (St George)

Recommended Posts

I'm sure many students have questions about the academies, even after watching the academy webinar a few weeks ago. I understand that no matter which academy you end up at, you will still receive an excellent education nonetheless.

So my question is, say you are assigned to PB, which has Sunnybrook as the anchor hospital, could you end up being assigned to do ASCM at the Women's hospital or North York general; likewise, if you are assigned Fitz, which has St. Michael's as the anchor hospital, could you get stuck doing ASCM at Bridgepoint? I know that this may not have a significant influence on your education, I'm just worried about the transportation and commute to these places outside the downtown core.

Thanks :)

Sunnybrooke has a shuttle from downtown. If you end up at Markham they apparently pay for your cab ride there and back. North York I think you take the ttc but people like it there

I didn't have the opportunity to attend the academy tour, so thanks for the info.
