Three Courses For Two Semesters.....

Hi all,

I have two semesters where I only took three courses. Will I automatically be eliminated as a candidate? From what I read, 4 course/semester seems fine, although 5 is much preferred. Anyone here got in with less than 4/semester??

Here is my breakdown:

Y1 (3.30):

1st semester: 5 courses (2.91)

2nd semester: 5 courses (3.70)

Y2 (3.71):

3rd semester: 5 courses (3.66)

4th semester: 3 courses (3.80)

Y3 (4.0):

5th semester: 3 courses  (4.0); 2 graded, 1 cr/nocr

6th semester: 4 courses  (4.0)

Summer: 3 courses (4.0)

I didn't need to take a full course load to graduate on time I got a lot of transfer credits . Do you think this is a reasonable excuse for having less courses/semester? :S

I had one semester with 3 credited course but had a pre university course appear on my transcript for that semester. I had contacted the admissions dept and was told that my file wouldn't be thrown out (and obviously wasn't since I got in) but that the score attributed to my file under the academic evaluation would probably be lower (example: maybe 1 point is attributed for having a full time course load every semester and I would get 0 - just throwing out numbers here as an example not sure how it's really graded).
