Question About Residency

Hi everyone,

 

I have a question about residency. My parents have lived in New Brunswick since 1998 (still live there). I lived with them until 2008 when I left to attend Dalhousie University for school. I finished my degree May of 2015 and have been working in the province of Nova Scotia since then.

 

My question is, can I apply as a New Brunswick resident? I read through the fine print on Memorial's website but still was unclear. There was the "dependent student" option but I am no longer 'dependent' on my parents.

 

My thoughts are that I do quality for the "dependent" criteria provided on the website.

Best bet would be to call the admissions office (I find I always get a pretty generic response if I email them).

 

However, if you're working a permanent full-time job in Nova Scotia, I don't think they'd consider you a "dependent student"
