medhope15
On this test: Is it better to thoroughly explain one stance or maybe less briefly explain all the different stances/considerations?? For instance, if someone were to ask: "Is capitalism bad ?" Do I just write "Yes it is bad because ____" (this makes it look like I have a well thought out view based on strong supportive evidence) or do I write, "It is a complex questions that requires us to consider multiple view points. First, ....., Next, .... blah blah blah, Although I personally believe ___ because ___, I think all these view points need to be further evaluated" (this makes it look like I'm open minded to different options, but maybe makes it look like I'm indecisive or unsure??). robclem21
Combo of both in my opinion... I think its best to give a strong, thought-out and supported stance, yet acknowledge that opposing viewpoints exist and that you are open to the merits of these. medhope15
Also, are bullet points discouraged?? Let's say there's a question that says "What considerations would you have about this situation?", could you answer "I would consider the following: - - -...." Or does it look poorly to use bullets/lists??
thatonekid
For the bullet points, it depends on the question. In the example you gave, a list seems logical. But you should expand on why you have those considerations, which would make the list redundant. I would try to encourage people to use full sentences if they can, in general though. Ideas tend to read better.
Organomegaly
I used bullet points sometimes, typically when I had a lot to say and I wouldn't be able to say it all in paragraph form
