Friendly Magpie
Hey guys, does anyone know what scale U of A uses for their grade conversion? Thanks in advance. They don't tell anyone, but I do know that they don't use the same scale that OMSAS does. I have some courses from Waterloo (they just use %) and my GPA is higher at U of A than what it would be for OMSAS. Edit - I should note that I have tried to figure it out, but since I have courses from three different universities, I have no idea how they calculate it. tl;dr: U of A GPA > OMSAS GPA if your university uses % marks. science1000
My cgpa changed from a 3.93 a few weeks ago to a 4.00 now. Anyone else have that happen?
Friendly Magpie
Last year, mine changed but it went down from their initial calculation unfortunately. Mine hasn't changed this year though. I don't expect it to though since it appears to be correct.
science1000
Hmm... mine is definitely not 4.00 since not all my grades are A+ but 3.93 seems low as my UCalgary gpa is 3.95.

U of A counts both A and A+ as 4.0, so you are in luck. ????

Friendly Magpie
No idea but I ain't questioning it haha. I had 1 B+ and the rest were A/A+ If you went to a school with percentage marks, then U of A does not use the OMSAS scale.
Goku
If you went to a school with percentage marks, then U of A does not use the OMSAS scale. My school uses letter grades but we don't have an A-. 80-89 is an A which I guess puts me at an advantage here.

freewheeler
My cGPA finally appeared on the U of A application. It looks like U of A uses a similar conversion scale as Calgary in terms of converting letter grades to the 4.0 scale.
