canada747
I'm planning on taking easier classes from now (beginning semester of third year) until my final semester of fourth year. Is this a good plan? I figure that this last semester will be the least important to adcoms. Is this right?
IMislove
OMSAS doesn't put any importance on any year. Check each med schools requirements, they are the ones who decide how they calculate your GPA. Mac and NOSM are the only ones who uses your GPA as is. sdj78we9jtf2o3mgfvj298j
Generally the most recent years are important for OMSAS but that's dependent on the schools you apply to. Queens looks at your last two years and Ottawa puts more weight on more recent years (first year*1+second year*2+third year*3).
Bambi
So long as you adhere to the 3/5 rule, you can take basket weaving.
NotASerialKiller
For AMCAS every single course you've ever taken at a post-secondary institution has the same weight
