Username100
Hey guys, does the IP/OOP distinction matter when it comes to Ontario schools? If so, what are the requirements and how do the schools check if you're IP or OOP? Thanks in advance!
Edict
McMaster reserves 90% of its interview spots for IP and 10% for OOP. However once you get an interview there is no distinction between IP or OOP. I'm not exactly sure how they look at IP/OOP but i remember it being pretty simple, as long as you lived here for 3 years after the age of 14 or did university in Ontario (at least 3 years by June the date of entry into med school) you count. http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/mdprog/geographical_status.html

I saw this info myself after I made the thread. It also asked on the application if you've lived in Ontario for 3 years, so that section could determine residency. Do you know anything about the other schools?
Exergy
If you went to high school in Southwestern Ontario, Western has a more lenient MCAT cut-off. uOttawa also differentiates between Ottawa residents, Ontario residents, and rest of Canada I think.
