How Do My Stats Look For 16/17 Cycle?

Recommended Posts

Looks like research is something you're passionate about, which is great! Your GPA and MCAT are solid, so I'd focus on keeping your GPA up and trying to add some more diversity. I'm honestly not sure how to do that because my NAQ experiences were born out of my own interests (coaching youths, rock climbing, amateur mechanic work (man I can't even remember all the stuff I put down now, haha). So maybe try and work away from the classic research world for now, because I think you've demonstrated interest and competence there. Find something fun!

My 2 cents. I haven't gotten in yet though so large grain of salt needed.

IMHO if you're only going to be volunteering two hours a week, j don't think it's worth it. If it's a very involved role which requires a ton of time then maybe try it out!

That being said, I have heard, "it doesn't hurt to include it. You never know what they give marks for."

Also not in medical school, so please take my words with w grain of salt.

Good luck, friend!
