pleasehelpme
For the fourth essay question: What is your preferred style of learning? How has this impacted your educational development? By preferred style of learning is it referring to visual, verbal, physical, etc. or can we say another style of learning that is not encompassed in the seven or whichever learning styles. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
m_jacob_45
The essay questions are a little bit vague and open to interpretation so feel free to take them however you want/best works for you...
Bambi
In my case, in undergrad, I was a self-directed learner, i.e., I skipped lectures, taught myself and got straight A's. I was far more efficient with my time than had I attended lectures. This proved valuable in med school. A friend has a photographic memory and she writes out notes in different colours. When she has an exam question, she can visualize the page of notes with colours and just answers the question. We are all different and what works for one does not necessarily work for another. ieatpremeds
Be honest + truthful and think seriously about where the MD curriculum is going at U of T. There is a reason they picked every single one of these questions.
EM4me
Might be helpful to look at UofTs website and do some exploring before answering the questions. See what's new at UofT and if you like/would fit with their chosen direction.
