chickendinner10
Hi guys, I've got the good fortune of being both the second author and corresponding author on a published research paper. I was wondering whether Med schools find this impressive or is it only first author they find impressive. Thanks for any feedback.
tameimpala
I'm fairly certain that most applicants have no publications so anyone with published work will be a minor bonus. This will not make or break your application (unless you are applying to an MD/PhD stream).
robclem21
Yes. Any authorship is very helpful for your application. Obviously first author shows that you have had a more significant contribution to the manuscript, but authorship is still impressive and shows hard work. Corresponding author makes little difference, if any.
