Click
Well the AQ score calculation is part of the pre interview score so is likely only the AGPA
InstantRamen
Hmmmmm I wonder how they will calculate it :/
lab2185
Hi All, Look at the blog post from January 21, 2016 by Admissions, and this will really clear up all of the concerns here. No pre-req average is counted this year and this DOES NOT impact the pre-interview calculations. They are still the same as last year. Score out of 50 based on your overall or adjusted GPA and score out of 50 for your NAQ. Those combined scores give you a total score out of 100, and there is a cut off score for the interview. Admissions never used the separate pre-req average (even when they were required) in determining who gets an interview. It was only used in the past for the holistic review. Obviously an average won't be calculated this year because there are no pre-reqs, though I am sure they will still look at your science courses that were taken and how you did, etc. Hope that helps! http://mdprogram.med.ubc.ca/admissions/admissions-blog/page/5/
Maverick
English is still a pre-req Even then haha, it'd be very meaningless to calculate a pre-req average based off 2 courses LOL

Further, it's possible that the MCAT science sections will be considered more strongly in lieu of the pre-req removal
Click
Whoops responded to wrong post. Regardless, I don't think in the initial calculation (i.e. pre-interview) MCAT sections will be taken into account.
Maverick
If we dont hear from them on the 12th are we clear? Or are there 2 rejection rounds, or is it impossible to know?

Pterygoid
Wondering the same thing Is it going to be the same as previous cycles like rejects first then acceptances? IIRC they make a decision every year on whether acceptances or rejections come first.
2017medapp
I think they'll do rejections first but hard to say if they'll do 1 or 2 rounds. Depends on how many more people they had apply this year with the no pre-reqs. I just want to know!!

2017medapp
I thought there would've been a higher number of applicants! A lot more disqualified and partial reviews than previous years. Did they do 2 waves of regrets last year?
PeanutButter1
Think it was just one at 3 pm? Not sure. I feel like acceptances were a few days later though
Omnia_proba
Looking at the forum for interview invites and regrets for the 2015/2016 cycle, it appears that rejections were sent out in waves.

S. pneumoniae
1.57907*(AGPA) - 111.0834 = AQ score Hmm, but that would suggest the maximum score is only ~47, assuming one literally had a 100% average? I believe that in the past, people have gotten 50 on AQ?
