If they're consistent with the last few years (I think 4 so far, which is a pretty good track record), then yes.

 

Wednesday if you submitted the application early, Thursday if regular deadline.

Monday: Rejections

Tuesday: Nothing 

Wednesday: Early Deadline Invites

Thursday: Regular Deadline Invites

The early deadline is usually in June or July. The regular deadline is September 15. I'm not sure if there was an early deadline this year

In the 2015/2016 cycle, the early deadline was August 15th. It had no impact on whether or not you got an interview, but if you were invited, you got the notification 1 day early. 

 

I saw no mention of an early deadline for the 2016/2017 cycle on any of UBCs official notices or website so I assumed that it was eliminated.

Dont wanna build or give hope but last year rejections was mostly in just one wave on Monday. Tuesday was all quiet.

That was a pretty weird year because they changed their evaluation scheme, software, and weren't anticipating how many applications theu would receive. Also on Monday very few rejections were sent.

All is so quiet. Been rechecking previous invite threads to come up with a trend. It seems the gap day is for answering complaints and rechecking interview lists. Last year first batch of invites were sent at 1:31 on Wednesday,
