Schulich was amazing today! Thank you to the current dental students for making interview weekend awesome!

A major thank you to UWO's class of 2020 for being so helpful on these forums! It makes the school all the more amazing! Can't wait to see some of you in 2 weeks!

Keep an eye out for today or tomorrow

The room is not too big. You will be sitting on a round table with three interviewers. You will be escorted from the waiting room to the interview room by one of the first years (so don't worry about finding the interview room by yourself).

How long do the tours run?

Also, could someone give insight on the interview room set up? Will there be a table, small room, big room? Thank you!

You will be escorted from the waiting room to the interview room by a first year when it is time for your interview. The interviewers should already be in the interview room, however, they step out of the interview room for lunch. I hope that answers your question.

Does that mean we will be sitting in the room waiting for the interviewers to come in, or will the interviewers already be there? Thanks for answering our questions by the way.

I don't see why it would be an issue. Just try to keep it small and I suggest you put it on the on the floor next to your chair once you are in the interview room (rather than on the table).

Are we allowed to/suppose to bring our purses into the interview or will there be a secure place to leave it?

A little late, but here goes.

We have escorts who are responsible for bringing you to the room where your interviewers will be waiting.

~30 min, depending on the crowd

You

Table with water

Interviewers 1/2/3, they will introduce themselves

The room itself is pretty small

Are we allowed to/suppose to bring our purses into the interview or will there be a secure place to leave it?

We suggest you bring your purse with you into the interview, they will not judge you for it. If you MUST, you can leave items in the director's office or in the student waiting area, but you must pick them up before 4 (I'll hold onto them if you haven't picked it up).

Do we just show up on any day and say we're a Schulich Dent applicant? Or do we need to register beforehand to attend the tour?

We don't discriminate, we offer tours to friends/family as well, depending on group size.

Hope everyone has done pretty well on their interview today and yesterday. Anyone happens to know if interview scores are given to us if we ask for them ? And also, whether or not we can ask for our pre-interview rankings like UofT ?

From what I've heard and seen, UWO is very secretive and won't tell us our interview score, nor our rank. They will not disclose our wait list position either if it comes to that.

(super late in posting interview invite stats, but oh well)

Invite

Currently working, finished UG last year

GPA: 92% (Schulich, best 2 years)

AA and RC: 23, 23

ABS/ECs: I felt like I put a lot of heart and effort into my essays. Lots of volunteer activities, involvement in program societies, artsy hobbies, researched in 3 different labs, some work experience.
Post-interview thoughts: Very mixed feelings... I tripped up on the first 2 questions but I was able to regroup myself for the rest of the interview. Lasted ~25 minutes.
