Did anyone else get the email that was sent out this morning regarding submitting proof of Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency?

Actually, I applied as an OOP applicant.

I didn't receive one either, and I'm Maritime.

I'm maritime as well. I remember filling out a residency section and am not sure if it was only for maritimers or all applicants. Did you fill out something like that initially? I wouldn't worry about it too much, if anything it could be a good thing that they're really looking into you!

While I didn't receive an email either, I've heard that many of the administrative processes and background checks happen at random! If not, I would agree with neuro9 that at this stage it could only be a good thing

I wouldn't read too much into it. As NewbiePEI said, I think a lot of background checks happen at random. Just try not to stress too much waiting to hear! (I know that seems nearly impossible right now but there shouldn't be too much waiting left!!)
