Moyenne des gens ayant reçu une offre ajd : 35.8

Moyenne des MEM collégiens: 493 / universitaires: 512

Cote de coupure 34,0

 

 

Ta tu les stats pour les universitaires ? Pcq mis à part la catégorie "contingent particulier", ça l'air qu'avec 37.xx pis 570 aux MEMs, c'est pas assez.

Ça prouve la subjectivité extrême des MEMs. Je connais un ami qui a eu 460 la première fois, et 570 l'année après. 

 

 

et tu es sur que c'est 460? Messemble il m'avait dit qu'il avait eu MEMs insuffisant...il avait quand même 37-38 de cote R à mes souvenirs

 

37-38 + 460 tu rentres direct

Plutôt 400 aux MEM et 35 de cote R, tu me surestimes Lonney

Pourrais-tu me donner quelques tips pour améliorer ma performance aux MEMs?

A couple of things I think people miss out on (I don't consider myself an expert on this, I may have just been lucky but this is how I see it: take it or leave it):

- They don't 'sell' themselves or talk about themselves enough. The way I see it, the vast majority of people receiving an interview have a minimum of judgment and will most likely give similar answers. How can you stand out? Give them something to remember you by. Make it personal, interesting (when appropriate of course).

- The interviewer is just another human being. Treat them as such. Be professional, courteous, and try to enjoy yourself (within reason)!

- Practice. I know some people just go in there and wing it and do well, but I personally couldn't do that. I needed to feel like I did something beforehand to go in there feeling confident. Just being familiar with how long 7 minutes actually is, how well you organize your thoughts and communicate within a limited time span does wonders IMO.

I don't think I could have said it any better than he did, the difference between my 2013 interviews (400 MMI) and 2016 interviews (570 MMI) was probably that I followed the pointers above the second time around. I must add though that I still believe there is quite a bit of luck involved (aka landing on interviewers with compatible personalities to yours). Moral of the story: it sounds cheesy but never give up on it if it's what you really want, reapply every cycle if you can.

est ce que quelqu'un a une idée de quoi ressemble la distribution typique de collégiens "purs" vs "collégiens <45 credits" sur la liste d'excellence à Sherbrooke?

Dans ma cohorte, je dirais que les "vrais universitaires" représentent 20% des étudiants avec un autre 20% pour les vrais cégépiens et environ 60% de cégépiens avec des crédits universitaires.

J'aurai quelques questions. Premierement, j'ai recu un refus en medecine dans les 4 université a Quebec (collegien). Je me demandai si je pourrai appliquer en medecide dans un autre pays (US , Europe, etc)

 

Deuxiemement, je me suis fait accepter en Bioengineering a McGill et Aerospace Engeneering a Concordia. J'hesite entre les deux, lequel serai meilleur pour appliquer en medecide apres avoir fini le diplome et apres 1 ans et lequel me permettrai davoir un mailleur GPA ?

 

Apres un ans d'universite avec Bioengineering et Aerospace Engeneering, je peux appliquer seulement a Sherbrooke?

Va en bioengineering à McGill. C'est un nouveau programme très contingenté avec beaucoup de potentiel. Aussi, McGill GPA est sur 4.0, tandis que concordia est sur 4.3 donc c'est probablement plus dur a avoir un GPA parfait à concordia.

Tu as plus d'opportunités de recherche avec un bac en bioengineering de McGill, et ton parcours unique serait très avantageux lorsque tu ré-appliques en med.
