Dentistry Personal Statment Editors/Advisors

Recommended Posts

I'm completing my personal statements for the US and preparing to apply for all the Canadian Dentistry Schools and am looking for an external advice on my personal statement and essay answers. I've looked at various websites, but would like to hear first hand experience relative to price as well.
https://www.applicationediting.com  -- this is the cheapest I've found, but am reluctant to commit depending on the quality of the service.

Find friends or other dental students to edit first. Although I've never used these services I doubt they can tell you anything for certain that someone else couldn't do in exchange for coffee or food (much cheaper I would think). It also allow some differences in opinion making sure your ideas come off as clear and concise under different interpretations (as individuals can interpret or misinterpret what's written).

I haven't personally used that site but one of my friends recently used it. He seemed to be happy with the quality of the editing that he received. The editors are real dental students so it is a bit better than just getting your friends to edit your stuff I think since they have similarly gone through the process and better understand what dental schools are looking for. It is a bit expensive still, but it may be worth it if you have a bit of money to spare.

I applied with both the help of an editor and with the help of family and friends looking at my stuff...
