Edict
Just a quick question about IM subspecialty matching via CaRMS and NRMP. I know that CaRMS happens before NRMP for the residency R-1 match, is this the same for the medicine subspecialty match? In addition, are there any Canadians who apply to the US? Or is it very few and far between? Thanks!
JohnGrisham
You will need to be GIM certified before being allowed to get a visa for subspec in the US via J1 I believe. Unless you go h1b route. I know this is true for IMGs. Let me fact check after dinner. Will check about timing.
