KingKRool
Hello all, First and foremost congrats to everyone who matched today. I did go unmatched. I applied to 2 surgical specialties and was not very expecting a different result today even though I did interview at several spots accross the country. My question is the following : I'm supposed to be graduating this year, do you think delaying my graduation date by deciding to do a MSc program this year and then comeback to write the finals as well as the MCCQE part 1 next year would be less of a redflag if I apply to CaRMS 2019 compared to graduating this year and entering a MSc program next and doing CaRMS 2019 ? Thanks for your guidance
bearded frog
If you're just going to do a master's and that's it, it doesn't really matter if you do it before or after officially graduating. The point of delaying graduation would to remain eligible to do electives/get LORs while you do your masters to improve your chances for next year.
