Hey guys,

I found this interesting program from Harvard medical school : https://onlinelearning.hms.harvard.edu/hmx/courses/. Basically, it offers online medical school courses over the summer. I was thinking that it would be useful if I'm accepted into medical school this year. Thoughts?

No.

Better off getting a focused preclinical review book and skim then doing another schools curriculum.  Especially since it is not free.

or better yet, learn latin.

Completely agree with everyone about relaxing 100%. You'll likely forget most of what you learn in the summer.

But in case you truly have nothing better to do and for whatever reason you're highly motivated to study, the best use of that time is to go through the USMLE Step 1 materials (Pathoma, First Aid, UWorld, Boards & Beyond) so you can write the American boards and apply to residency in the states if needed.

If you are going to a 3 yr school it doesn't hurt to do a bit of light studying. The thing is the 3 yr program is so intense, you might not regret studying lightly during the summer before. Make sure you have fun and enjoy, but if you have the interest, a course here or there won't hurt and will probably help.
