uwoddspls Posted May 3, 2019 Report Share Posted May 3, 2019 2 yr GPA = 83 ABS : 900-1200 hours of shadowing at two offices (can probably do more this summer), two club exec positions, volunteering, 3 summers at one workplace with evidence of moving up the ladder (one summer was a lab focused position) DAT: AA= 24, PAT= 21 Right now i need to decide whether I should retake biochemistry (first attempt (2015) = 74.3%) so I can apply to western this upcoming cycle, is it worth it? Do I even stand a chance because of my low GPA? Should I just focus on applying to elsewhere? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
hellothere123 Posted May 3, 2019 Report Share Posted May 3, 2019 At the recent Schulich interview, they mentioned in their presentation that students were accepted with an avg (best 2 years) between 83%-95%. coolbean Posted May 3, 2019 Report Share Posted May 3, 2019 I just got in at western and my gpa is around 84 so you probably have a shot (Although I have a masters so I’m not sure how that plays in). Obviously higher is better. Your abs looks good as well! I don’t know how heavily they weight shadowing as I had 0 shadowing experience and still got in. So I’m sure you have more than enough.
