Guest Ollie
Hi, I'm just wondering how formal the feedback interviews are. Obviously I wouldn't go in a suit, but is it a "no jeans" sort of thing?
Guest uglyorange
Hey Ollie, Did you get anywhere with your 34.49 application? Did you talk to them about it?
Guest Ollie
Hi uglyorange, I called and they pretty much said too bad (but were nice about it). Apparently there were a number of people right at the cutoff point. I guess I'll find out more at my feedback meeting.
Guest uglyorange
How many people do you think are at the cut-off point?
Guest UBClebronjames
Hey From my experience (and from what ADcom told me) you don't just want the minimum cutoff whether 34.5 or 33 like last year since even if you get full marks on your interivew 50/50 when they add that to your academic/ec minimum of 34.5 you only get 84.5 and there is the potential that the cut off for acceptance could be higher than that or just below that level (ie. 83). So what ADcom said is you want to aim for 38-40+ which even if you get a okay interview of 45/50 you are still ahead of the game with 85/100. Also if this is your first time applying you should realistically use it as a stepping stone for the next year. And having a 34.49 is a great stone indeed! Guest uglyorange
How did you manage to talk to the people at ADcom?
Guest coastal79
I wore shorts and a t-shirt and rode my bike out to UBC. Don't think it really matters.
