Guest qw1222
Do financial decision ever come into play when deciding on a foreign candidate for medicine. Eg. Two similar candidates but… One can pay for the school (and shows he/she has 250,000 USD over 4 years), the other needs financial assistance….Will the person who can pay have an advantage? Guest VwDubber
i would say no. however, as a canadian applicant keep in mind there are schools that require certification of adequate funds b 4 they will review your application. other schools will want all 4 yrs of your education prepaid and put into an escrow account. hopkins and penn are two schools that come to mind. in general state schools don't offer canadians any financial aid. same thing applies to some big name private schools like penn so it's not just a state school thing. g'luck.
