jamie_kee_mac85
Hi there, I bought the old prep MCATs (i.e. 3R-9R) and I was wondering if this is the preperation that AAMC is offering for the computer-based testing this year, or if they have something completely different? I basically want to find out if this will help me for the computer-based testing or if I should buy other prep material from AAMC, if it's available? Thanks in advance
degoo_
The old paper based prep tests will certainly be indicative of the types of questions you will have to deal with, and are worth doing. BUT, they will not help you adapt to the computer setting, and the new length. So, in principle, yes the nature of the exam is the same, but de facto, there are little logistical differences. http://www.aamc.org/students/mcat/practicetests.htm has some info on the new computer based ones.
