mcater2006
Hi: York University representatives told me that "labs" don't show up on transcripts and that I would be the one responsible for letting the US schools I'm applying too know that my science courses come with labs. My question is: During which portion of the AMCAS application would I be able to let the US schools know that my science courses come with labs? Would I be writing individual letters to schools pointing them to the undergrad calendar sites at York to let them know that the first-year science courses come with labs? Thanks, mcater2006. KennethToronto
When you fill out AMCAS, you also specify whether a course includes a laboratory component. Queen's transcripts also do not show whether courses include labs - wasn't an issue for me.
Madz25
UofT transcripts didn't show whether or not the course included a lab component. I don't remember doing anything special about letting schools know. It's been a while since I applied and I agree with Kenneth. There must be some place on the AMCAS application that lets you fill in that kind of information. Like I said, I don't remember going out of my way to let schools know.
