OneDay
Is it just me, or are the kaplan practice tests way harder than the AAMC practice tests? I couldn't even get through all the questions on the PS!
GatewayMD
I've only done the kaplans so far, my results have been so-so, i've also heard they're tougher than the AAMCs...I take it you've tried both, curious to know what kinds of mark differences you're getting. arctic_monkey
in a way, it's a good thing...if you are able to do the kaplan tests well, you will likely do well on the AAMC tets...i would work on the kaplan tests now (it's a good way to see if you know the material) and then do the aamc ones closer to your exam date... metukah
yeah, the kaplan and princeton tests ARE harder. its almost a bit annoying b/c i feel like i'm not getting an accurate indication of how im doing since they're much harder! i guess its good practice tho
OneDay
The practice tests I have don't have a conversion table for scaled scores....how are people getting their scaled score? All tests have a different scale, but is there a generic table for Kaplan tests? I can't seem to find one. I just have several tables for the AAMC and EK tests that are all very different in their scaling of raw scores.
arctic_monkey
hmmm once u do the online ones for kaplan, it should give u ur score (like the number from 1-15 for each section)...don't look too much at the number of questions you got right because you could get 60% of them right and get an 8 on one test and an 11 on another. call kaplan - they were really good at helping me with any technical issues...sometimes the kaplan exam went all crappy and skipped time so i just called kaplan to reset the test for me... Med Guru
I've always found the princeton review tests to be more like the "real thing", not too mention they don't flatten your confidence like the kaplan ones!
