pishposh
Hey all, I've heard that if a person has to write their MCAT 3 times they have to appeal to write again. I'm wondering if voiding the mcat will count as still writing it and look unfavourably on a person's record. Would it be better to not write the test at all rather than void it? Thanks for any input! Freedom
That is no longer true. You can write as many times as you want, without having to send proof that you are applying into a health professions career. I think there's a little box you check when you are registering for the MCAT. They just trust you I guess? It was true prior to the implementation of CBT (computer based testing). If you void the MCAT, it counts as a sitting (you cant write more than 3 times (sittings) in a year), but it shouldnt appear in the scoring report that goes to schools. "The AAMC will not report your participation in the test to AMCAS or to non-AMCAS schools if you void your scores. We will, however, regard you as having attended the test and will therefore count the attempt toward one of the three permitted each year."
