januarytwenty Posted September 12, 2008 Report Share Posted September 12, 2008 Well, here's how it played out: Called the AAMC MCAT number: Just got the standard "Our hours are..." message indicating they're not available now (even though it was during the stated hours). Tried pushing 0 to talk to someone (you never know) to no avail. Since this was so odd, I then called the general AAMC number (an operator or something who will direct your request to the appropriate area). Asked them if they knew why no one in the MCAT division was available. Got the answer about them all being in a meeting. Just tried calling the AAMC MCAT number a couple minutes ago, but again with no answer (thought I'd try just in case their meeting was over). Not looking good... always_panicked Posted September 12, 2008 Report Share Posted September 12, 2008 Holy bird crap man....this is getting ridiculous...I need to know my score to know if I should bother or not with certain applications for schools with MCAT cut-offs....and for my own sanity. Monday is the release date for people who wrote August 15th I think, so why the hell do we have to wait this long when we wrote 6 days before they did! Do you guys think there may have been some sort of major technological failure or screw up? I beleive it is the first time it has been a completely Canadian exam. ....That would....sort of screw alot of people over.... But probably did not happen...a scary nightmare... Yeah...Aug 15th people get their marks this coming Tuesday, so at least its [almost] certain we'll know by then. Maybe this was their plan all along: screw the Canadians; we'll release it when we have other stuff to release too.
