UnderDog
Do you guys find that when doing the Kaplan full lengths, that a score of say 65% or 70ish% gives you a scaled score of around 11 or 12. Is this accurate at all? 65% is a ton of questions wrong IMO. Any opinions?
OneDay
Scaling is dependant on the sample of test takers. So maybe Kaplan is scaling based on the students they had in their courses who took that test. Most other generic scalings (in other MCAT prep books like EK) say about 75% correct is at 10. I don't know if that helps. But I try to avoid getting all worried about the scaling on practice tests, and just try to get as many answers correct. GatewayMD
kaps are harder than aamcs so you can get more wrong and still get double digits although i'm getting more questions wrong on my kaplans, my scaled aamcs are in the same ballpark as my kap ones so i suppose that's what should to be happening
