Apply to more schools?

Recommended Posts

I just received my MCAT score today: 36M (11 VR, 10 PS, 15 BS). I sent in my AMCAS already thinking I was on the low end for MCAT scores, and now I was wondering if you guys thought I should add any more schools to my application.

So far I've got:

Albany Medical College

Albert Einstein College of Medicine

Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine

Dartmouth Medical School

Indiana University School of Medicine

Jefferson Medical Coll. of Thomas Jefferson Univ.

Michigan State University

New York Medical College

Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Scien

SUNY Upstate Medical University

University of Chicago - Pritzker

University of Hawaii John A. Burns Sch. of Med.

University of Minnesota Medical School-Minneapolis

Wayne State University School of Medicine

Also, should I be worried about my M in the writing sample? I'm pretty disappointed about that.

I appreciate your input!

Your M may be overlooked if you make sure any piece of writing you submit is well articulated.

Wit a 36, and according to LizzyM, you should be applying to all the top tiers, but not necessarily getting your hopes up as it is pretty tough.

You'd be surprised who gets in, I knew of a few my year who weren't exceptionally smart but got into WashU @ St. Louis and Yale. You won't know till you give it a shot.
