Odie
Is there are timer on the screen when we take the actual MCATs? The reason I am asking is because on the practice AAMCs it says the timer is optional....
OneDay
yeah there is a timer. I didn't like using it on my practice tests, b/c I liked using my wristwatch better (it's easier to see how much time you've spent). But on my actual MCAT, they wouldn't let me take in my watch. Sutler
no watches? where did you write?
OneDay
I wrote in Hamilton. I tried to not be obvious about it and have my watch on my wrist (oh it is a nice big watch and easy to see how many minutes you spend on each question/section). But before I went in the staff member said I can't bring in anything, no pencil, no watch, no water...etc. All I could bring in was my ID and the pencil they gave me. I really hated the timer on the computer, it was a distractor and it stresses you out. I especially don't like it b/c it counts down, I'd prefer if it counted up. xeffect
does it have a window that flashes on the screen telling you 45 mins left and then again when there's 5 mins left? it's been doing that in the practice tests for me...

unknown user 7
does it have a window that flashes on the screen telling you 45 mins left and then again when there's 5 mins left? it's been doing that in the practice tests for me... I think it pops up 1/2 way through and then in ur last 5 mins.
The Law
Last year there was a timer on the screen. It counts down the time you have remaining. Also it let you know how many passages there were and which one you were on.
Sutler
they should have 3 timers on the test.... two per section -one counting up -one counting down AND one counting down for the overall MCAT for kicks

hello:)
So does it not show you the passage number (e.g. Passage VI) at the top of each passage like in all of the AAMC practice tests?
