Classic
Shoot me! I'm trying to get a banker to write a letter for me outlining my sources of funds for medical school. Do you think they could complete this *simple* task?? Urgh-h-h-h-h! I gave the banker a detailed prototype of the letter I need. He completely ignored my example and wrote a novice, amateur letter that is completely insufficient for any financial aid office at an American med school. Okay, I just needed to rant about that. Thanks for listening.
a41
How detailed was your prototype? This letter is very simple: "So and so has more than this much money. The end."
Classic
I guess the issue is that it's not my $$$ ... I'm trying to get a letter that says my 'sponsor' has the funds available and is willing to support me financially.
justletmein
If someone will be "sponsoring" or financing your tuition and/or fees, it should really be THEIR bank who writes the letter. For example, my dad's bank wrote a 2 sentence letter that said he has enough money to support me for the year (or some schools want for more than one year). p.s. if you got an incompetent banker, then just call another branch. Make sure to give them specific, written information. Honestly, it shouldn't be this difficult.
