MedSchoolAhoy
So I'm a non-science person absolutely intent on getting into med school. I'm in my third year of an arts degree and will be graduating next year. I'd like to be able to start applying for med schools in October, but am unsure about what to do this summer. 1. Should I take an MCAT prep course? I've never done science before (even in high school I did the minimum), and so feel like maybe it would be a waste of money and time since I would just be too far behind everyone else. 2. Should I self study? I don't think four months is enough time to learn everything that I've neglected learning up until now. I think I'm okay for the essay/reading comprehension, but physics scares me. 3. Should I go on a trip to volunteer somewhere, then after I graduate take a year of science courses and study for a year for the MCAT? This will delay me going to med school by two years, and I'm already 24 ! yikes. Input is greatly appreciated. I'm obsessed/distressed. Thanks!
