Why the early applications?

Recommended Posts

Rolling admissions

which basically means they review completed applications (primary AMCAS app, secondary app, transcript, ref letters, fees) as they are submitted. if you submit early, the school has few, if any, seats filled and are more likely to give you an interview as they are trying to fill seats. later in the cycle when only a few seats are left, their criteria on who they invite for interview becomes more stringent. that's why it's in your best interest to apply early so as to maximize your chance of getting an interview and acceptance.
