token
From what I've heard, though AMGs = CMGs in both matches, in practice, it is probably easier for Canadian AMGs to match in the US compared to CMGs, to a similar extent to which it is easier for CMGs to match in Canada compared to Canadian AMGs. It's a familiarity issue. However since US residencies care so much about which med school you come from, there may be more of a burden for CMGs trying to enter to the US for the top residencies in any specialty. You would have to overcome not only having a visa problem but also coming from a possibly not well known school in the states. But rumour has it that's more a problem at the top residencies in non-competitive specialties (e.g. internal medicine at the MGH) than it is competitive specialties.
