Can you practise in Australia if you go to med school and don't want to come to canad

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought once you do (if possible) your internship and successfully obtain your PR status, you are on equal footing with local students to pursue any field?

 

Shouldn't you have the same chance as anyone else of going into your field of interest?

 

This is true but getting PR status isn't something you should count on.

When applying for PR the thing that makes or breaks your chances are your previous degrees (if you have any) or if you are using your MBBS then your internship + doctor being on the Skilled occupations list. That is what gives you the points you need for obtaining it.

 

And yes if you have a PR you are on equal ground, when applying for jobs.
