enmeds
I always hear that Canadians studying in Ireland do well. I was wondering how the workload for medical school in Ireland is in comparison to Canada or the United States at schools like Limerick and UCD. Do Canadians studying in Ireland have a decent chance at matching in the UK if needed? Thanks
Prism
I'm not sure how the workload at Irish medical schools compares to Canadian medical schools, but I have read that the UK is not a very good bet for residency for foreign medical graduates--if you aren't an EU citizen, you'd have much better luck in the United States and Canada. The UK's residency policy seems to change quite frequently, so perhaps it will become an option again in the future...but I wouldn't count on it as a reliable option by any means.
