AAMCAS Deadline

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I was wondering once you are done your application on AAMCAS, can you submit your application without having sent your reference letters in yet?

Do schools start processing your application even if ur references aren't in ... or do they wait till they come to process secondaries and stuff?

I have applied to the following schools:

1) Jefferson

2) wyne state

3) Rosalind

4) St.Louis

5) Meharry

6) NYMC

7) Pritzker

Again someone more experienced correct me if I am wrong.

You do not have to have reference letters in to submit your AMCAS. You should submit AMCAS as soon as possible. Reference letters can be assigned later on. Infact, no one looks at the letters before the secondary application is recieved.

I have all my letters in. But I am only assigning them when I recieve the secondary just in case there is any change in the requirements?

1. Submit primary (letters don't have to be assigned)

2. Get request for secondaries.

3. Assign letters and complete secondaries.

4. File gets reviewed.

At some schools, review happens as soon as secondary is received (even before all letters are received). Mostly though, they wait until all letters are in.
