Apixaban85
Hey, Does anyone have any idea about how long it takes for a referee to do the reference evaluation? Just trying to get an idea of how much time my referees will have to invest Thanks
NewfieMike
I doubt it'd take any longer than an hour. Probably like 3-4 questions requiring lengthy answers. ...why not just put yourself as a reference and email yourself the reference package? Lactic Folly
To do it, or to do it well? I don't know about you, but I'm a slow writer, and a page of writing would definitely take me more than an hour. Of course, I'd be more invested in writing my own reference. NewfieMike
some people are pro's at writing references and may know some tricks to writing a good one versus a generic one. edit: just give your ref's plenty of time and there's no need to worry! bloh
Make sure to explain the expectations to your referees. The entire concept of getting an invite through the e-mail is quite unique. As an example, my supervisor didn't even read the email the first time as he thought it was spam.
