phdmed
Hi everyone, I posted this under the Rewrite Sticky (someone there suggested not to rewrite -- thanks for the response!) but was hoping to make this more visible and get a few more opinions. Just wanted some advice about whether I should rewrite or not. I'm currently studying and am scheduled to rewrite, but am now having second thoughts about how much I can improve my scores. I wrote in 2007 and got 10 PS, 11 VR, 11 BS, Q. I'd ideally like to get into U of T. Any thoughts? I'm going through a mini panic attack Thanks! future_doc
Your MCAT is fine for U/T. Do not panic about that. If your other components are competitive and you write an Essay that catches the attention of the reader and makes you stand out so that the reader will want to meet you. you will get your U/T Interview. phdmed
Thanks for the words of encouragement! What are your thoughts about Mac or UWO?
future_doc
You do have a shot at Mac. UWO, wait for rmorelan but he will ask for more information to evaluate your chances, i.e., GPA for last 2 years.
phdmed
I'm finishing up my PhD currently. Both my grad gpa and undergrad gpa are 4.0, so I'm not really worried about that I guess...phew. I am from SWO so I pass the 8s cutoffs, but not sure if they actually go by these cutoffs. I'd love to be able to apply to all schools, but my choices are limited by the fact that I don't have organic chem or physics classes.
future_doc
Can not that be remedied? (for next cycle just in case) And it looks like you are good to go with UWO too.
phdmed
One more thing...These scores are from 2007. I know they're valid for 5 years, but do you think any schools will have an issue with this?
future_doc
You will have no problem whatsoever on that score. Clear sailing ahead!

ladeeda
uggh i rewrote because VR and BS were too low for western according to their last 2 years and western is my best shot gpa wise, i was afraid VR was too low for mac, and i heard for the states you want to aim for >35...sighhhhhhhhhhhh so hating life right now
