I used the description box for responsibilities I held and the impact statement to talk about what impact the position had on my community, on myself and on my choice to pursue medicine. This is essentially your essay split into 5 sections. IMO this is where personal experiences and your personality should shine through because it is nowhere else to be found on the application.
