walkhome071590
Just wondering, I understand that the science GPA is considered for american schools, however just how large of a weighting do they hold for schools in the US in general? drp
GPA is valued much higher in the US than in Canada, and especially the science GPA over your overall GPA.
walkhome071590
Really? But from other posts/other applicants I have talked to, I thought the MCAT was supposed to be more heavily favoured down in the states, and GPA was less so. Re: GPA I was under the impression that it is less important than MCAT as well. Canadian schools seem to have a hard on for GPA, which I think is in part because our universities are a lot closer in terms of the education offered (no tiers, etc.). Quick question: If one has a high science GPA, but it is because one has only done the prereqs, is that looked down upon? I ask because I have an Arts degree, but I am doing science coursework atm, and my sGPA will be significantly higher by the looks of it.
