Preqs. to be completed within certain years of application

Hey guys,

So some schools have the following requirement for application:

"All prerequisites should be completed within five years of the application year."

Since most of the prereqs are first and/or second year courses, you have to apply to these schools within 7 years of when you started your undergrad, correct? (assuming that you did a major in biology which more or less forced you to take BIO101 in first year and so on). Or does this mean within 5 years of completing your undergrad.?
