However, at med school websites (Alberta schools) they say they look at scores back to 1991. I wrote the MCAT in Aug 2003. How long are my scores good for? This is really important, because I got an excellent MCAT score (38Q) and I think it's next to impossible for me to repeat that, or maybe even come close. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Guest Kirsteen Posted October 18, 2003 Report Share Posted October 18, 2003 Hi there, The AAMC does not allow your scores to "expire", so don't worry about MCAT scores becoming stale there. Medical schools set different standards for what they consider to be stale MCAT marks, however. Many US schools require that your MCAT score not be older than three years, whereas a number of schools in Canada (and I don't know the stale dates for all) consider any test written more than five years ago to be ineligible for consideration during the selection process.
