Guest mitchie41
I was just doing the free test that comes with registering for the MCAT, and it seems easier, compared to the Kaplan or Gold Standard exams. Is this test representative of the real MCAT? Thanks so much.
Guest 007
If I remember correctly, the lower the AAMC number (i.e. 3 vs. 6) the further back the test is from. So 3R might be representative of something from the early-mid 90's. The test content and level of difficulty has changed since then. However, I'm not 100% this information is correct. Perhaps someone else can confirm it.
Guest UofT Student
007 is correct. In chronological order, the AAMC tests are: 3R, 4R, 5R, 6R, 7R. The earlier the test, the less likely it represents what you will see on modern MCATs.
