nychila
Hi everyone: long time fan, but first post as a user. Looking forward to contributing to the forum as well as getting some help. I haven't seen anyone apply to USC (U of Southern California), which is in a beautiful location, reports rather low matriculants' stats (3.6 & 32), also apparently averaged 5 international students matriculating per year. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences applying to USC? What about stories applying to Minnesota (close to Mayo Clinic) or Indiana (close to Chicago)? Both state schools also report about 5 international students each year according to AAMC.

nychila
Surprisingly, I actually do have some (albeit weak) ties with Minnesota. I'll be sure to play on that on the secondary. USC is a private school, but they historically do not accept Canadians? I guess they only accept internationals who have a US undergrad degree... Mashmetoo
If you want Socal, apply to Western U - practically next door to USC and very international friendly vs. all the UC schools, which are basically closed to internationals.
