unknown13
Hi everyone, I'm registered to rewrite my MCAT on June 21, and I need some advice: My previous MCAT score was 31S (10 BS, 10 VR, 11 PS). My GPA is 4.0 from U of T (OMSAS scale). I'm applying to the US and Canada. I understand that the earlier I apply the better in the US. Do you guys think I should rewrite my MCAT? The scores would be available July 24, so my application wouldn't be considered until then. Or should I stick with my 31S/ 4.0, and just submit that? Bearing in mind that I'd really like a bunch of interview from top 10 schools Thanks for any feedback!!
blizzah
No chance of top 10 with a 31. Need a 34+ to have consideration

Hackintosh
I don't know about top 10 schools but you should get some love if you apply broadly.
nychila
Top 20 in the US would even be a problem. Top 30 is possible if you have very good extracurriculars, clinical experience, research, etc. Sounds like you have a good work ethic and probably aced your latest MCAT, which makes you eligible for top schools, but again that depends on your experiences & how you convince admissions.
