Strategy99
Assume I am African Canadian (or any other URM) and I applying to US med schools. Even though I am Canadian, I should be considered URM, correct? Don't the Canadians go through the exact same application cycle as Americans do? I heard to confirm that you are an URM, you just checkmark the box that asks you about it. Any insight on this would be very much appreciated! Samira
As far as I remember somewhere in the application where there was detailed explanation who can be considered as URM, it was specifically saying that u have to be US citizen or permanent resident two be included in special pool. Let us know if it is otherwise:) maybe you can also indicate ru URM status somewhere in secondaries....

Unfortunately, you can't apply as a URM unless you are a US Citizen.
