Retaking a course

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me?

 

I am applying to both american/canadian schools, and have decided to take an extra(fifth) undergraduate year. I did poorly in the first part of first year chemistry. I wanted to retake it, but according to Western Medical school, it wont be counted as a credit, thus I can't use my current or next year as one of my best years toward my application.

 

I was thinking of retaking chemistry after I finnish my undegraduate eduation, which will be in April of next year, in May- June. Marks for my chemistry won't be out till July, and applications are due for America in June. Even though applications are due in America in June, and I recieve my marks in chemistry in July, can I still update my profile, and will this increase my chances of admission?
